KIDS' TURN FEATURED ON ABC-TV's "20/20" PROGRAM

In April, 1995, Kids' Turn was featured in a story on ABC's "20/20." Reporter John Stossel visited a Kids' Turn workshop in Oakland, California, and spoke about the program with parents, children, workshops leaders, the Program Director and one of the founders of the organization. The resulting favorable story was the first time Kids' Turn had received national television coverage.

As results, Kids' Turn received over 100 phone calls from parents and professionals interested in having or starting a Kids' Turn workshop in their area. Calls were received from all over the United States, as well as England, Canada, Italy and South Africa. Many people told us how much their community needed an organization like Kids' Turn. Registration in our local workshops also increased. Kids' Turn programs were started in Redding and San Diego, California, and similar programs were launched in Kansas and three areas in Southern California.
